The Map shows the distribution of ethno-linguistic groups of the Peruvian Amazonian Region. These indigenous groups have varying degrees of integration with the predominantly urban Peruvian society. They live in Communities, which are organized into Councils and Federations, which represent many groups. The largest is the Asociación Interétnica de la Selva Peruana (AIDESEP), which groups most of the over 36 different ethno-linguistic groups.
