The incidence of stomach cancers vary considerably around the world. One concern is ascertainment. Could this account for the differences? The strongest risk factor only has a relative risk of 2, yet there is a 8-10 fold variation. This might imply new risk factors, or clustering of stomach cancer risk factors across countries.
