The learning objectives for this lecture are straightforward. You should be able to compare and contrast the concepts of health, illness and disease, and analyze health from a number of different dimensions. Finally, you need to be able to distinguish between and characterize the likely consequences of using the biomedical model with that of the systems model for the planning and delivery of health promotion and care. Finally, you should be able to judge which is the most appropriate model for health and health care in Hong Kong.
