Volunteer Opportunities

Volunteering with Pitt IEEE is the perfect way to enhance your resume, build professional skills, and get involved in the IEEE community.

Student Activities Conference

In April of 2018, Pitt will host IEEE’s Student Activities Conference (SAC), a multi-collegiate event. Merely attending the event will provide invaluable networking opportunities, but we need your help to make this conference a success. We have several volunteer positions available for official IEEE members and those who are willing to become official IEEE members.

We need your help to spread the word about this event! If you volunteer in marketing, you will use social media to promote the event, build skills in professional email drafting, and run a crowdfunding campaign for which we aim to raise over $6,000! If you are interested, contact Myles Onosko, the Marketing Chair of SAC ’18 at

We are looking for an On-site Registration Chair for the conference. Duties will include the handling of logistics during the conference. For more information, contact Jenna DeLozier at

Women in Engineering

We are seeking Co-chairs to help promote women in engineering. Duties will include planning competitions, organizing interactive events, and reaching out to schools in order to recruit middle school students. If you would like to learn more, contact Kendra Farrell at

We are looking for a Supplies Manager to coordinate the purchasing of trophies and other materials. We also need a Volunteer Lead to recruit volunteers. Both positions will also involve volunteering during the conference itself. If you are interested in helping, contact Ritesh Misra at

We are seeking a writer to draft sponsorship documents and work with Pitt's Corporate Relations Office. We also seek a Communications Specialist to facilitate professional networking with companies during the fall and spring semesters. For more information about either position, contact Betsalel Williamson at

We look forward to hearing from you!
