Last Will and Testament

In the name of God, Amen, I, James Miller, yeoman of the Township of Mahoning in the County of Mercer and State of Pennsylvania, being of usual health and perfect and sound disposing mind and memory, thanks to be God, for the James (?), but calling to mind the mortality of my body and knowing that it is appointed to all, once to die, do make and publish this my last will and Testament, hereby revoking, making void all wills by me at any time made heretofore. And, first and principally I commit my soul into the hands of my Creator who gave it, and my body to the earth to be interred in a decent Christian burial at the discretion of my Executors herein aforementioned nothing doubting. But, at the general resurrection I shall receive the same again by the mighty loving (?) God a (?) Md (?) as touching such worldly estate wherewith it hath pleased God to bless me within this life. I dispose of the same as follows:

I will and do bequeath to my oldest son Alexander ten dollars in trade, and my second son John Miller thirty dollars to be paid in trade and to my third son James Miller I do give and bequeath the place where I now live containing one hundred acres of land and all farming utensil of (?) description and one fourth part of all the livestock cattle, sheep and hogs and one fourth part of all the kitchen furniture and my bed and bedclothes and one iron gray mare three years old this last spring, and to my oldest daughter Jane Miller I do give and bequeath the bed stead and clothing she now owns and one fourth of all my livestock such as cattle, sheep and hogs; and, one horse beast worth forty dollars and one side saddle and bridle and one fourth of all the kitchen furniture and my chest and one burrow well mounted and his maintenance off of the place I have left to James Miller so long as she remains single, and to my second daughter Elizabeth I do give the bed stead and clothing she now owns and one horse beast worth forty dollars, one saddle and bridle, one burrow well mounted and one fourth part of all my livestock such as cattle, sheep and hogs and one fourth of all the kitchen furniture and her maintenance off of the place I have given to my son James as long as she remains single or unmarried, and to my third daughter Margaret I do give the bed stead and clothing she now owns and one horse beast worth forty dollars one side saddle and bridle and one fourth part of all my livestock such as cattle, sheep and hogs and one fourth of all my kitchen furniture and her maintenance off of the place as long as she remains unmarried; and I do allow Alexander and John Sho (?) to be paid by James at the expiration of two years from my decease and James Miller is to make up all the aforementioned property to the girls whenever they get married or leaves the place I now reside on and to my grandson James Miller I do allow one two year old heifer, and my three daughters I do allow the privilege of living in the house I now live in as long as they remain single; and I do allow James Miller to pay all debts and funeral experience VG (?) and I do appoint and constitute Edward Wright and Matthew Small to be my Executors of this my last will and testament; and also do appoint said Wright and Small guardians for the girls.

In Witness whereof I the said James Miller to this my last will and testament have business (?) to set my hand and seal this 15th of September 1826.

Signed, sealed and delivered by James Miller as his last will and testament in the presence of us who in his presence and in the presence of each other have h (?) set our hands as witnesses.
