III.  Requirements/Grading

Ukrainian, like any foreign language, cannot be mastered without considerable investment of time.  You will be expected to come to class prepared (learning of a language "overnight" is impossible).

A.  Attendance

Beginning Ukrainian requires participation.  Excessive absence will affect your grade.

B.  Homework

There will be daily homework assignments.  Written homework will be returned the next day with the mistakes highlighted but not corrected.  Students will correct their own mistakes and resubmit.

C.  Tests, Quizzes and the Final Exam

There will be quizzes, a mid term and a final exam.

D.  Final Exam

There will be the final exam at the end of the course consisting of written and oral parts.
