I.               Dues

                 a.)             Dues must be paid in full or there must be a payment plan set up with the treasurer

                                  by the fourth (4) meeting of the Fall semester for all active sisters.

II.             Attendance Policy

                 a.)             Each sister is allowed three (3) excused and two (2) unexcused absences per

                                  semester – the type of excuse is up to the discretion of the Recording Secretary and

                                  the President.

                 b.)             Arriving fifteen (15) to thirty (30) minutes late to an event will count as half (1/2) of

                                  an unexcused absence and arriving over thirty (30) minutes late will result in a full

                                  unexcused absence.

                 c.)             Failure to fulfill the attendance requirements set forth will result in the                                                       sister being brought for probation by the executive board.

III.            Committees – Regulations concerning chapter committees are stated in Sections   6.401-                 6.403 of the National Constitution

                 a.)             The guidelines for committees are to be determined by the President at the                                               beginning of each semester.

                 b.)             Each member of a committee must plan at least one (1) event/project for that

                                  committee per semester. If a sister fails to complete this requirement, they will be

                                  brought up for probation by the executive board.

                 c.)             The committees shall be: Service, Sisterhood, Social, History, Joint Relations,

                                  Traditions/Ritual, Recognition/Leadership, Alumni, Membership Education,

                                  Correspondence, and Fundraising.

IV.            Requirements

                 a.)             Service requirements must be set for both fall and spring semesters by the third

                                  meeting of the fall semester. Terms for requirements are at the discretion of the

                                  Service Committee Chair and the President.

                 b.)             Social requirements must be set for both fall and spring semesters by the third                                         meeting of the fall semester. Terms for requirements are at the discretion of the                                      Social Committee Chair and the President.

c.)             Fundraising requirements must be set for both fall and spring semesters by the    third meeting of the fall semester. Terms for requirements are at the discretion of the Fundraising Committee Chair and the President.

V.             Election of Officers

                 a.)             Nominations may be accepted up until the announcement of the new                                                          officer.

                 b.)             Each nominee is allowed three (3) minutes for a speech followed by one and half

                                  (1.5) minutes of Question/Answer. Following the Question/Answer phase, the

                                  candidate will leave the room and there will be two (2) minutes of discussion on the

                                  nominee before the next nominee enters the room to give their speech.

                 c.)             Elections where there are more than two (2) candidates shall be conducted by instant                                   run off.

VI.            Probation               

a.)             Any sister who does not fulfill the requirements set out by the service, fundraising, and/or social chair will result in the sister being brought up for probation by the executive board.

VII.          Rush

                 a.)             Rush should take place no later than the fourth (4) week of classes at the                                                  beginning of the semester.

                 b.)             There shall be two (2) rushes – A general rush which is open to all interested                                           parties to attend and then a sorority invitational, one (1) week after the general                                        rush, which is open to only those who the sisterhood invites.

                 c.)             Voting for membership candidates will take place at the end of the sorority                                              invitational.           

VIII.         Membership Candidates

                 a.)             The Membership Candidates are required to fulfill the following requirements:

                                  i.               Attend all membership candidates meetings (excuses to miss meetings are

                                                   at the discretion of the Vice President of Membership)

                                  ii.              Attend at least half (1/2) of the sisterhood meetings during their                                                                   membership candidate process.

                                  iii.            Complete one-half (1/2) of the sisterhood’s service requirements. They                                                      must plan one event themselves.

                                  iv.             Complete one-half (1/2) of the sisterhood’s social requirements. They                                                        must plan one event themselves.

                                  v.              Complete one-half (1/2) of the sisterhood’s fundraising requirements.

                                  vi.             Attend first, second, and third degrees

                                  vii.            Attend any joint ceremony held

                                  viii.          Attend the roses party

                                  ix.             Score at least eighty (80) percent on all quizzes and the final exam                                                              (membership candidates are allowed to retake tests),

                                  x.              Pay membership candidate and national dues before the start of third                                                          degree.
