On behalf of the Roberto Clemente Minority Business Association (RCMBA) of the College of Business Administration, we would formally like to thank you for your interest in our organization.
The goal of RCMBA is to develop its members by promoting professional and leadership development, providing academic support and serving as mentors. This continued investment in our members has enabled RCMBA to become the premier source for corporate recruiters to locate talented minority students. One of the main venues where recruiters can interact with our members is at our annual Minorities in Pittsburgh Conference (MIP). This conference serves as a medium to showcase the talent and diversity of our members, while giving them an opportunity to network with corporate partners who are interested in recruiting the finest students that the University of Pittsburgh has to offer.
Fredrick Douglass once stated that "We are one, our cause is one, and we must help each other if we are to succeed." This statement epitomizes the interaction within RCMBA; we are a diverse group of individuals who have unified to become a family characterized by helping each other succeed in any capacity, and working towards providing the best service to our members.
In the past many corporate representatives have joined our family and greatly enhanced our efforts to aggressively pursue increased professional and leadership development.
This year our theme for RCMBA is "Taking it to the next level." We plan to continue to encourage participation among our current corporate representatives, as well as increase the number of corporate representatives willing to invest in our organization. By investing in our members, you will provide our organization with the resources needed to develop our members into the elite professionals that you seek to employ. Additionally, it will offer you an opportunity to become an employer of interest to our members. We anticipate building these partnerships through your increased involvement that extends beyond monetary sponsorship.
