In its 200+ years of history, the University of Pittsburgh has grown to excel in areas of science including genetics, molecular biology, physics and neurology. It's hard to believe that at a university so immersed in science, the first Pre-Vet club was founded in May 2006!
Our purpose is to unite Pitt students who are striving for a career in veterinary medicine. On our site, you'll find a variety of info including
an introductory glossary of terms,
a directory of animal-related opportunities in Pittsburgh, links to pre-veterinary clubs across the country, and a little background on each of our members. You'll also find upcoming events (in the blue "Events" section docked to the right of
each page), as well as news updates on club activities and accomplishments
(see below).
