P.O.M.S. is an acronym for premedical organization for minority students. This organization was founded and sustained off the principle of being a resource to underrepresented pre-med students, providing them with knowledge, skills, and experience that are both prerequisite and concomitant to professional participation in health care fields.
P.O.M.S. is here to improve minority matriculation into all professional health related programs, with an emphasis on medicine. We strive to uphold the significance of family, not excluding any ethnic background, but encouraging all ethnic backgrounds to come
together and acknowledge the need to increase the amount of minorities in medical school and increase medical access to the underserved and underprivileged population of the world.
