Themed RUSH Nights! Rush Event #1: Tuesday, January 17 - NFL Teams Benedum 102 at 9pm Rush Event #2: Wednesday, January 18 - NHL Teams Benedum 102 at 9pm Rush Event #3: Thursday, January 19 - MLB Teams Benedum 102 at 9pm How Rush Works: Typically, our rush consists of three open events, each approximately one hour long, for all girls interested in becoming a sister of Phi Sigma Rho. Following these three events, girls may receive invitations to our invitation-only event on the fourth night. Girls invited to become associate members ("pledges") will receive bids following the preference party and will then begin their associate period. The associate period ("pledge period") lasts the duration of the semester, during which you and your class will learn about the history of the sorority, get to know the active sisters better, and bond as a class. Finally, at the end of the semester, the associates will have a formal Initiation, thereby becoming active sisters of Phi Sigma Rho! The Purpose of Rush: Rush is a week-long series of events hosted by us for girls interested in becoming a sister of Phi Sigma Rho. The rush events provide a casual opportunity for us to get to know you better, and for you to get to know us better - both as a sorority, and individual sisters. Through the rush events you'll get a good idea of what we're like and how you could potentially fit in our sisterhood. Rush Events: Typically, each rush event consists of one or more planned activities (games, etc.). During these activities, the active sisters will be divided into groups and the rushees will have the opportunity to move from group to group to meet all the sisters. Some girls in the past have asked "What should I wear to the rush events?" ...whatever you want! Each night will have its own theme ("Pretty in Pink", etc.), so feel free (but not obligated) to dress up accordingly - we'll be dressed for the themes, so don't hesitate to do so too! |
