Delta of Pennsylvania

Department of Anthropology, University of Pittsburgh

Established in 1968 at Wichita State University, Lambda Alpha is a national honor society founded to promote the study of anthropology.  The name Lambda Alpha is composed of the initial letters of the Greek words LOGOS ANTHROPOU, meaning "The Study of Humans."

The purpose of the society shall be to encourage and stimulate scholarship and research in Anthropology by recognizing and honoring superior achievement in the discipline among students, faculty and other persons engaged in the study of Anthropology.

We here at the University of Pittsburgh are excited about the reactivation of Delta of Pennsylvania! Originally founded in 1993, Delta of Pennsylvania has long promoted an interest and enthusiasm in Anthropology and is excited to continue in this tradition! We welcome new members at the start of each semester. For more information please contact sorc+lahonors@pitt.edu.
