Team Information

The Lady Pittsburgh Lacrosse Club has been a part of the University for over a decade and has built itself into a strong program that competes against excellent teams from all across the country. We play against other members of the Women’s Collegiate Lacrosse League (WCLL), members of the Women's Division Intercollegiate Associates (WDIA), as well as varsity teams from the Division I, II, and III levels. The games against other club teams in our league count in the statistics that determine whether the team receives an invitation to the regional playoffs each year. We have attended the WCLL regional tournament in Toledo, Ohio every year for the past several years. In 2003 and 2004, we made it to nationals in St. Louis, MO and placed 7th of 8 and 9th of 12, respectively. In 2006, the team won the WCLL Championship and attended the national tournament in Dallas, TX ranked third in the country. We are in the top 20 club teams in the nation, annually.

While the team concentrates on winning games, we are about having fun on and off the field as well! We are open to girls joining our team until mid-February, when our roster is due. Prior experience is not necessary, but each year the expectations raise for our teammates. Almost all of the players on our team have experience playing lacrosse.
