WORKDAYS! This Saturday, April 6th:
- Alley Valley: Renovation
- Pittsburgh ReStore: Workin' the Store!
- Open Hands: Miscellaneous Projects
New Workday Policy!
We've implemented a new workday policy to ensure that we get the most people involved in our workdays as possible.
Starting this semester, when you sign up for a workday, you will recieve an email with details about the day by THURSDAY NIGHT.
We ask that you please respond to the email either confirming that you will be attending, or letting us know if you won't be able to make it BY 2PM FRIDAY
so that we can fill in habitaters on our Wait List wherever needed!
If you have signed up for a workday, you should recieve an email about when
and where you will meet up on Saturday morning to head to the worksite. If you're interested in
participating in the workdays listed here, or are at least 21 years old and would like to drive to any workday,
contact Tyler Chanas at tbc9@pitt.edu

Shanty Town: Saturday, April 6th
Panther Habitat, Feel Good, Take Back the Tap, and WPTS will be hosting our first annual Shanty Town- an event where teams
will compete to build cardboard shacks to simulate the substandard housing that millions of people are living in around the globe.
This FREE event will be held Saturday, April 6th from 6pm-1am on the Cathedral Lawn.
Delicious food will be catered by Chakh la India, Spice Island Tea House, and Abay Ethiopian Cuisine! We will be having a night of games, a scavenger hunt,
music and live performances, and a guest speaker from Habitat International. Prizes will be awarded for the best shanties in a number of categories (Most Aesthetic,
Most Structurally Sound, Most Creative, etc).
Sign up for this un and exciting event at www.shantytown.eventbrite.com through your campus organization in groups of 5-8, or sign up individually and we will put you on
a team! Clubs and organizations are strongly encouraged to decorate your shanties, which is a great way to advertise your club to everyone who passes by. Hope to see you there!
Mark your calendars and please spread the word and help us make this a huge event on campus!
