First off I never played any ultimate in high school. All I did was soccer, and
volleyball in high school. But by throwing a disc with my brother on a street
with heavy traffic I learned to throw, but not real well. That was the extent of
my experience with a disc in high school. When I came to Pitt I wanted to be
involved with something that involved being an athlete. I was always playing a
sport in high school and I didn't want to stop when I came to Pitt. Therefore,
when I saw the ultimate Frisbee poster hanging in the towers lobby I decided to
go to a practice
After making the cuts to the A team, I was presented the opportunity to have a
great time 24/7. From throwing bottles into cars at roughly 80 mph to dog
piling 15ish people into the back of an RV to avoid authorities, you learn
quickly that the Ultimate team never goes anywhere without a life changing
experience.
Overall playing for Sabah has pretty much made my college experience ten fold of
what I thought it would be. If you played sports in high school and want
something to keep you in great shape and be active, Ultimate here at Pitt is the
perfect thing to do.
