Vice President's Message
O'Brian E. Hunter

Briefly describe the functions of your position:

As VP, I function as a liaison to several underrepresented student organizations on campus, the African American Alumni Council, as well as the Student Government Board. I also function as Chair of the Black Senate, which seeks to build a cohesive relationship amongst underrepresented student organizations on campus.

What are your visions and goals for BAS for the upcoming year?

One of my personal goals is for BAS to branch out and work with other organizations and make this organization inclusive to everyone. On a much larger scale, I hope we build off of lasts year's momentum and really tackle issues surrounding Black students. I want BAS to be able to approach the administration with concrete issues and work together to devise realistic resolutions.

What are specific events that you look forward to from BAS?

It's difficult to choose one specific event because I know every committee has been working very hard on their events. I'm just excited to see all of our events and everyone's hard work pay off.
