Semester at Sea

Semester at Sea is a study abroad program in which students take undergraduate courses as they sail to several countries around the world.

Semester at Sea is a comparative study abroad program that takes students to several countries around the world in one semester. Students participating in Semester at Sea typically travel to Japan, China, Honk Kong, Vietnam, India, Kenya, South Africa, Brazil, and Venezuela. In recent voyages the program has made stops in places as diverse as Cuba, Russia, Singapore, Tanzania, Egypt, Israel, Turkey, Spain, Italy, Greece as well as many other countries in Europe, Australia and Asia.

Over the years, Semester at Sea has given me the oppurtunity to visit many different countries and cultures around the world. But...the most memorable experiences are the people I met along the way and the most valuable reward is the occasional letter or email I receive from a far-away person I met during my travels.

More than 40,000 students from several hundred colleges and universities have participated on Semester at Sea. If you are an undergraduate student and are considering a study abroad program, you should consider participating in Semester at Sea.
