Salvatore Nicola Moschella
is the IT Director for the Institute for Shipboard Education, an organization which conducts the Semester at Sea study abroad program. As adjunct faculty at the University of Pittsburgh, he teaches Database Management Systems and E-Commerce at the School of Engineering. Previous teaching appointments have included Visual Basic Programming at Duquesne University and e-Business on Semester at Sea during the spring 2002 voyage.

He is a graduate of the University of Pittsburgh Katz Graduate School of Business with an MBA and also holds a B.S. in Computer Science.

He is currently enrolled in the doctoral program at Pitt's School of Information Science, where he is pursuing a Ph.D. and conducting research in information policy and information behavior.

Moschella is also the founder of Intertec Solutions, Inc., a consulting firm dedicated to the effective application of technology in business. Past consulting projects have included the development of database applications, web applications, and software localization for the EU market.
