In The Structural Transformation of the Public Sphere, Jürgen Habermas identifies the coffee house as an inclusive site of public discourse in 18th century Britain. While our given prompt employs similar logic in its understanding of the term “public,” it also indicates the potential for a digital environment to be interpreted as a type of public. Relying on the latter conceptualization, my project, "Assignment 1,” articulates the feeling of learning both through and in a digital space.
