Russian and East European Resources at The University of Pittsburgh

The University of Pittsburgh contains 17 schools, 93 departments, and 27 special centers, including the Center for Russian and East European Studies (REES), one of only 16 such facilities to be recognized as a National Resource Center and granted Title VI funding by the US Department of Education. REES coordinates activities pertinent to the people, history, politics, economics, and culture of Central and Eastern Europe and the territory of the former Soviet Union. REES also maintains REESWeb, a comprehensive electronic index of Internet resources on and emanating from the Balkans, the Baltic states, the Caucusus, Central Asia, Central Europe, Eastern Europe, the Russian Federation, and the former Soviet Union.
