Participate
In The SGB Election
The SGB Election is an
undertaking that requires the participation of the Undergraduate Student
Body to be a success! Be a part of the team that will help administrate
the Election and determine the new leaders of SGB.
The SGB election is open to over 18,000 students, and students are
needed to participate in the committees that regulate and monitor the
Undergraduate Student Government Board Election. There are a number of
ways to get involved:

JOIN THE ELECTIONS
COMMITTEE
The elections
committee is charged with administering a fair and efficient
election for the non-CGS undergraduate student body.
Responsibilities include enforcement of elections regulations,
qualification of candidates, preparation of the official ballot,
and general awareness among the student body. During the
election, members of the committee will be asked to participate
in conflict resolution, prepare schedules and reports, and
review elections rules upon the conclusion of the election for
possible improvement.

JOIN THE JUDICIAL
COMMITTEE
The Judicial
Committee is charged with reviewing the conduct of all parties
in the SGB Election. Responsibilities include reviewing
sanctions imposed by the Elections Committee, determining if
regulations are being properly enforced, and preserving the
integrity of the election.

PARTICIPATE IN
CAMPAIGN PROGRAMMING
Students can
participate with the elections in special events hosted as
elections day approaches, including candidate forums,
presidential debates, and other programs. These are all open to
the entire student body, and may require volunteers to help with
administering the event.

VOTE ON ELECTION
DAY
Elections are held in
the Fall Semester of every academic year. You don't even need to
leave your room! Elections are online at
my.pitt.edu. |
