SGB Blogging Goes Online
PITTSBURGH, Pa., April 13
- Student Government Board Member and President blogs are scheduled
to launch at 6:00 p.m. on the SGB website at www.pitt.edu/~sgb. This new feature will be available immediately
and to all students with access to the SGB website.
This new blog feature will help the board
to continue to gain important feedback in their efforts to reach out
to the student body and student organizations. The ability of
students to quickly and easily read and respond to personal blogging
by SGB members on the SGB website will improve the infrastructure of
communication between the board and the entire student body and promote
accessibility between board members and students.
SGB member blogs are one of many improvements
to the SGB website implemented this semester, and many other new features
are in development. The final goals of web site improvements are
to further interest and involvement in student government and increase
the ease and accessibility of information about SGB.
SGB encourages all students involved
in campus organizations and interested in student government activities
to stay up to date and provide feedback to the board through this new
and exciting service.

and eight Board Members, all elected by the student body. The SGB also
has ten standing committees who address various aspects of campus life,
including diversity, freshman involvement, and governmental relations.
