SEQUENCING FACILITY CHANGES TO TAKE EFFECT JUNE 20, 2007

The University of Pittsburgh Genomics and Proteomics Core Laboratories and the Department of Molecular Genetics and Biochemistry are pleased to announce the merger of the Biomedical Resource Support Facility’s (BRSF) DNA sequencing core (also known as the MGB sequencing facility) and the Genomics and Proteomics Core Laboratories (GPCL).
John Cardamone of the BRSF will be joining the GPCL team starting July 1st. We are excited to be adding his expertise to our operations and welcome all BRSF sequencing customers. BRSF will continue normal operations until June 20 with data delivery finishing on Thursday, June 21, 2007. Samples to be processed before the move must be delivered to the facility before 6:30 am Wednesday June 20th. Any samples delivered after this time will be processed at the GPCL facility at 3343 Forbes Avenue. Following the move, John’s email will remain the same, so customers wishing to reach him will be able to do so. Customers are also encouraged to contact Bryan Thompson of the GPCL at 412-648-8471 or GPCLseq@pitt.edu for help with any sequencing related questions. CLICK HERE FOR MORE INFO.
