I was born in Pittsburgh, Pa on July 9, 1989. My mom is Brazilian and my dad is Ecuadorian. I can speak three languages: English, Spanish, Portuguese. I have an older sister who is graduating this summer from Swarthmore College. I grew up in San Antonio, Texas. I then moved to Monterey, Mexico for a year before retuning to San Antonio for another year. The I moved to Guayaquil, Ecuador for two years. My last move came in summer of 2000 when I returned to the US to Vienna, Virginia.

Since coming to the university, I hade decided to commit to the Material Science and Engineering Department. I worked at a product development company over the summer. There I closely worked with the rapid prototyping department. I became very interested in this topic and it is what I hope to work with in the future. I chose Pitt because they have the printer used for rapid prototyping and I hope to use it before my graduation from here.

I am a die hard soccer fan. Since I was little, I would sit on the couch and watch soccer games with my family. I have played soccer since I was three. The World Cup is a huge deal in my house. We all sit and watch all the games. Due to my heritage, I always cheer for the Brazilian and Ecuadorian national teams. Both my parents are alumni of Pitt. When they moved here they became immediate Steeler fans. I use to watch Steeler games with my dad when I was younger. Therefore, I am a huge fan. Lastly, I grew up in San Antonio. The city is very small, but the basketball team, the Spurs, have always been very good. Growing up in the city, it was impossible not to be a fan. I got to go to several games, since my dad's company was a sponser.

When it comes to music, I listen to pretty much anything except for country. I especially like reggaeton, which is a mix of rap and latin music. My favorite artists are Don Omar and Daddy Yankee. I also enjoy watching tv or movies. My favorite movie are Office Space, The Boondock Saints, and RIZE. My favorite tv shows are Two and Half Men and South Park.
