ENGR 0715: Engineering Applications for Society
Robert Campbell
Hi, my name is Robert Campbell and I am a mechanical engineering student at the University of Pittsburgh. I am from Marblehead, Massachusetts, a coastal town just
outside of Boston. I have two younger brothers, two dogs, and a cat. During my high school career I always enjoyed math and science classes. In fact, I enjoyed
them so much that I sought out honors and AP courses whenever they were available. After taking two years of physics and a year of AP calculus, I knew I wanted
to be an engineer. The type of engineer I wanted to be did not become clear to me until attending the University of Pittsburgh. Although I eventually plan on
receiving my master’s degree in aerospace engineering, my focus at Pitt will be on mechanical engineering, something I am also very interested in and something I
believe will help me to achieve my degree in aerospace engineering. My time at Pitt has already taught me many things not only about the world, but about myself.
I know that this will only continue during my next three years.
