Justin

Justin is originally from the Baltimore, Maryland area.  He graduated with a BS in chemistry and a minor in mathematics from Villa Julie College in 2006. He has previous work experience at Aberdeen Proving Grounds, military research base, where he studied explosive drop dispersion. Moreover, Justin had undergraduate research working with Professor James Fishbein at the University of Maryland Baltimore County investigating cross linking carcinogens. Currently, his research interests include biologically relevant molecules, chiral species as well as their various complexes in a gas phase environment.  Our high resolution technique allows one to probe further into the preferred conformational structure of such species, and where a solvent molecule, such as water, could attach. Furthermore, the effect of a substituent on a molecule’s electronic transition moment can be significant.  Justin would like to investigate these phenomena further.
