Majoring in English Writing with a concentration in nonfiction, Kayla Guerrieri landed a PPW internship within her own department—the University of Pittsburgh English Department. There she was hired as a writing intern to produce content for the creative writing program’s new MFA recruitment and community website.

Deciding to pursue the PPW certificate to diversify her writing experience, Kayla responded to an email sent out by Jean Grace, PPW Director, about the project. Starting with planning session in early November, Kayla keeps busy with the internship with weekly meetings and setting her own deadlines.

Kayla graduates April 2009 with a career goal in book or magazine publishing.
