Come see the architectural and religious wonder of the Palace of Gold! Described by CNN.com as, "One of the 8 religious wonders in America," it is a must-see landmark. Life Magazine called the Palace "a place where tourists can come and be amazed." The New York Times proclaimed "Welcome to Heaven." Most noteworthy is that the Palace is also called "America's Taj Mahal."

 

Built by the New Vrindaban Community (Hare Krishna Movement) to honor their leader, Srila Prabhupada, the Palace of Gold was built ove 7 years solely by volunteers. Hundreds of people worked together offering whatever talent and materials they had available to make an artistic masterpiece. The Palace also has world-renowned public gardens to tour including a Rose Garden, Lotus Pond, and Garden of Time. Join the Pitt Program Council on September 14, 2013 as we tour the Palace of Gold and explore the beautiful gardens
