Aren't these the most offensive
colors you've ever seen?
You will have the opportunity

assignments will be posted on this page--listen in class for announcements
or check this page regularly.
Movies
Dr. Santoro and I offer a free
movie series in the autumn terms called "Hollywood's
American History." This year we will show three series of films
dealing with 1)"Music" 2)American Radicalism and 3)Animation.
You may attend ONE of the three series and receive 10 points for your attendance,
OR, if you cannot attend all of the films in ONE series, you can watch
them on your own and submit a one-page typewritten essay on a question
that I will post on this page for 10 points. The ONLY REASON TO WRITE
A PAPER ON A SERIES IS IF YOU WERE NOT ABLE TO ATTEND ALL OF THE
FILMS FROM ONE SERIES. You may choose to ATTEND or to WRITE A PAPER
on ONE series. YOU MAY NOT DO BOTH FOR CREDIT. You will
not be able to earn credit for more than ONE series. All of the films
are available for rent from major video rental stores. Rent the films,
watch them, and write your paper.
