September 18:  1776

September 25: Drums Along the Mohawk
Jimmy Stewart stars in John Ford's tale of a backcountry settler's road to Revolution.

October 2: The Patriot
Mel Gibson wins the American Revolution single-handedly in "Braveheart: American Style."

October 9: Revolution!
Al Pacino portrays the common man, swept into a war by circumstances beyond his control.

October 16: Mary Silliman's War
An arthouse gem about a New England woman's trials and travails in the civil war that swept the Connecticut countryside.


Richard Nixon's America Movies from and about the Nixon era...just because we want to!

October 23: Nixon
Oliver Stone's biography of a tragic political life.

October 30: Easy Rider
Dennis Hopper in one hip flick!

November 6: The Deer Hunter
Robert DeNiro as a Pennsylvania Steel town boy scarred by the Vietnam War.

November 13: All the President's Men
Al Pacino and Robert Redford drag down old Dick.

November 20: Dick
A completely irreverent comedic look at the early seventies and Dick's fall from grace.
