Q: Can my group participate in PMADD 2012? I don’t see our name on the Eventbrite list.
Yes! All Pitt groups are encouraged to participate in PMADD. If your group name does not appear on the Eventbrite, please email us, and we will make sure to add your organization!
Q: Can I participate without a group in PMADD 2012?
Absolutely. When you register, choose the "Individual/None" option (scroll all the way to the bottom).
Q: Can I sign up my entire organization at one time, or do they have to do it individually?
Each participant must register individually for Pitt Make A Difference Day.
Q: Can a non-Pitt student participate in PMADD 2012?
Pitt Make A Difference Day is only open to Pitt students.
Q: Will food be provided?
We cannot guarantee food at all service sites. We will provide water bottles, but if you know you are going to be hungry, please try to eat something before arriving at PMADD.
Q: Will everyone who registers under my organization be put on the same bus?
We will do our best to make sure groups stay together, but we cannot guarantee that groups will all be put on the same bus unless we have 100% attendance from every individual registered for PMADD.
Q: How many volunteer hours can I receive for participating in PMADD?
Students receive five hours of community service for their participation.
Q: What should I wear the day of PMADD?
You must wear closed-toed shoes that lace up. Open-toed shoes or shoes without backs will not be permitted. We recommend wearing pants and a long sleeve shirt that you do not mind getting dirty. All other necessary supplies will be provided at your work site.
Q: What time should I show up at PMADD?
Please be outside the William Pitt Union by 10:00 a.m.
Q: When and how do I get my free pancakes?
You can pick up your coupon, redeemable for a short stack of pancakes at Pamela's Diner, when you arrive at PMADD!
