Brief Biography of Edward S. Yeung

Edward S. Yeung, distinguished professor in Liberal Arts and Sciences, earned his A.B. in 1968 from Cornell University and his Ph.D. in 1972 from the University of California, Berkeley. The same year, he joined the faculty here. He has been a fellow (1974-76) of the Alfred P. Sloan Foundation. In 1983 he was named Honorary Professor of Zhengzhou University, PRC. He received the ACS Analytical Division Award in Chemical Instrumentation in 1987, the Lester Strock Award in 1990, the Pittsburgh Analytical Chemistry Award in 1993, the ACS Fisher Award in Analytical Chemistry in 1994, the L. S. Palmer Award in 1994, and R&D 100 Awards in 1989, 1991 and 1997. He is currently associate editor of Analytical Chemistry.
