MA research topic:

My current research focuses on the response within the Atlantic world to the development of republican ideology in São Paulo during the 1880s. The project aims to situate republican claims and their understanding in the domestic political context in relation to the influence and perceptions of Brazil's most important foreign allies, Great Britain and the United States.
