What Einstein Wanted
Nicholas Rescher
University of Pittsburgh, Philosophy
12:05 pm, 817R Cathedral of Learning

Abstract:  Einstein was profoundly discontent with the way in which probabilities were introduced into quantum theory and allowed to function there. The paper tries to clarify why he was discontent, what it was that he wanted, and how this demand figured in his overall conception of the nature of physical inquiry.
