Interdisciplinarity - a roadmap of the discussion with indications of some construction sites

Abstract: It is often claimed that science is growing more and more interdisciplinary. Yet, it is not always clear what is meant by interdisciplinarity, and what such a development would imply. In this talk I shall look at various approaches to the analyses of disciplines and of relations between disciplines, focussing on such issues as consensus, expertise, and trust.
