annual lecture series

The Annual Lecture Series, the Center's oldest program, was established in 1960, the year when Adolf Grünbaum founded the Center. Each year the series consists of six to eight lectures, about three quarters of which are given by philosophers, historians, and scientists from other universities.

The speakers in the Annual Lecture Series are expected to present original papers. From time to time these papers are gathered together in groups of related subjects and published in one of the center's book series. Over the years most of the leading philosophers of science have spoken in this series.
