What I wish I could have done at my old job

Anyway... there is quite a bit more about me that one can learn... I work at the PET facility of Presbyterian University Hospital, which is part of the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center, as a systems analyst. I work on alot of different projects, some might say too many projects, but I truely enjoy this job. I do alot of the image processing there. Below are two images, the first is an SPGR MR sequence that will show you the different planes of the brain. The second is a PET image of the drug Altanserin which binds to a specific subgroup of Serotonin receptors. By the way, I made both of these images using a combination of NIH image and Gif Builder.

I am also atempting to get some sort of graduate degree. I had been working on an MS in Biology at Duquesne University. If you are interested in going there, I must tell you that their main focus is on molecular techniques in Biology. To me, it is boring. The high cost of school there coupled with the fact that I really was not enjoying myself there convinced me to take another route toward a graduate degree.

I began taking graduate courses through the School of Information Science at the University of Pittsburgh in the fall of 97. This program matches more with my current job so perhaps it is where I belong. I should be finishing any time now.

I also enjoy talking in sentence fragments... and I wish I had more time on my hands in which to enjoy the finer things in life.
