(Community of Science is now know as COS Pivot)
RefWorks-COS recently launched COS Pivot which has replaced both the Faculty Expertise Database and the COS Funding Opportunities Database. University of Pittsburgh faculty, staff, and students may access COS Pivot at http://pivot.cos.com. Users will be able to do some basic searching without logging in but may find it easier to perform searches if they have an account. All members of the University of Pittsburgh Community are invited to Sign-Up for a Pivot account. If you previously had a COS (formerly Community of Science) username and password, you will be able to use the "Log in" option in the upper right corner of the screen. If you do not have a COS or COS Pivot username and password, click on "Sign up" in the upper right corner of the screen. After completing the short form, you should almost immediately receive an email asking you to confirm your registration. (We have heard that some individuals have had this email go into their spam/junk mail. You can avoid this by approving the sender helpdesk@refworks-cos.com in your spam settings. If you have not approved the sender helpdesk@refworks-cos.com and do not receive the email confirmation request, be sure to check your spam email.) After logging in, faculty members who have profiles in COS Pivot should claim their profiles and update them if necessary. See http://pivot.cos.com/faqs#account COS Pivot Services
