Waiver of GRE Requirement For Admission

The following Master’s programs are waiving the GRE requirement for admission, provided you meet all other admission criteria satisfactorily and your cumulative QPA in your previous degree work is 3.50 or higher:

  • Acute Care Nurse Practitioner
  • Pediatric Nurse Practitioner
  • Adult Nurse Practitioner
  • Family Nurse Practitioner
  • Neonatal Nurse Practitioner
  • Psychiatric Primary Care Nurse Practitioner
  • Clinical Nurse Specialist in Psychiatric/Mental Health Nursing
  • Clinical Nurse Specialist in Adult Medical/Surgical Nursing
  • Nursing Administration
  • Nursing Education
  • Nursing Research
  •  Nursing Informatics
If your QPA does not meet the criteria for waiver, you may be asked to do one of the following:
  •  Take the GRE
  •  Complete up to 9 credits of graduate coursework satisfactorily as a non-degree seeking student
The following program requires a GRE score as part of the admission criteria:
  • Nurse Anesthesia
