RESEARCH:
My area of research is biostatistics including longitudinal data analysis, measurement
error and missing data problems, Bayesian analysis and statistical computation.
I have collaborated as a co-investigator and statistician on a number of
research projects with either intramural or extramural funding in the health
sciences. Some of research studies I have participated also motivated the
statistical methodology research.
TEACHING:
Currently I am teaching NUR3011: Applied Statistics for Evidence-Based Practice
for master and doctoral students in the School of Nursing. Topics include
descriptive statistics, t-test, ANOVA, ANCOVA, linear regression, logistic
regression, repeated measure analysis, etc. I am also a guest lecturer for
NUR3100: Research Instrumentation for Ph.D. students, covering the topics
such as sensitivity, specificity, ROC curve and introduction to biological
assay.
SERVICE:
I am a faculty statistician and methodological and analytic consultant in the
Center for Research and Evaluation (CRE). I also serve on a number of thesis
and dissertation committees in biostatistics and nursing.
