RESEARCH:
My research focuses on the neuropsychological sequellae of cancer
and cancer treatment and the physiological mechanisms underlying these
problems. More specifically, my research has focused on the description
of changes in cognitive function and mood that occur in patients with
cancer, particularly as a consequence of cancer treatment. Additionally,
we are conducting studies to test behavioral and pharmacological interventions
to ameliorate cognitive impairment and prevent depression associated
with cancer treatment.
TEACHING:
I am currently teaching the doctoral course, NUR 3016 Theoretical
Foundations of Research. I also teach the course, NUR 1072 Health
Promotion/Health Assessment in the RN Options Program.
