nidus accepts submissions of poetry, fiction and creative nonfiction year-round. 

All work must be submitted by email in the form of a single Microsoft Word compatible attachment to nidus@pitt.edu. Be sure your name and email address is on each page. Please put "Fiction," "Poetry," or "Creative Nonfiction" in the subject line of the email. Submissions that do not follow these guidelines risk being unread. Fiction and Creative Nonfiction pieces must not exceed 5,000 words. Please limit submissions of poetry to five pages. 

Simultaneous submissions are acceptable, but please notify us if work has been accepted elsewhere. 

All rights revert to the author upon publication, though nidus expects to be credited when the work is republished.

All editorial and business correspondence should be mailed to nidus, 526 Cathedral of Learning, University of Pittsburgh, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, 15260. Submissions sent by mail will not be accepted.
