Current progress of our DOD project was briefed to the Pentagon

Dr. Scott Lephart briefed the Assistant Surgeon General and the Vice Chief of Staff of the U.S. Army on the progress and division-wide implementation of our Elite Tactical Athlete Training Program at Ft. Campbell, KY. The Vice Chief of Staff of the U.S. Army also referenced our research with the 101st Army (Air Assault) while testifying before the Committee on Appropriations - Subcommittee on Defense. (more)

Neuromuscular Research Laboratory has moved

We have moved to a new building at Rivertech Office works at the end of South Water Street at the beginning of June, 2009. The new laboratory is situated next to the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery's Biodynamics Laboratory and Knee Biomechanics Laboratory and forms a Research Center of Excellence. Our new address and phone number have been updated on this website. 101st Airborne implementation of the Elite Tactical Athlete Training Program

To validate our Elite Tactical Athlete Training Program, an 8-week efficacy trial on 101st Airborne soldiers has been finished recently. The results were encouraging, as multiple performance variables demonstrated significant improvement. Currently we are moving to the next phase of this program, during which instructors will be trained and the whole program will be implemented division-wide.
