dissertation on September 14th, 2009 and received his Doctorate of Public Health
on December 19th, 2009. His dissertation is titled Development of an Optimal
Patient Transfer Task Set and Simulation-Based Intervention to Reduce
Musculoskeletal Injury in Healthcare Workers O'Donnell was formally 'hooded' at the Graduate School of Public Health
Graduation Ceremony held at the Carnegie Museum on May 2nd, 2010.

The recipient of this award is selected annually by the
graduating students from the over 100 CRNA clinical instructors throughout our
clinical sites. This award was previously known as the Instructor
Excellence Award but renamed to recognize Dr. Mary
Lutzo. Dr. Lutzo was the former Program Director whose vision and
leadership in nurse anesthesia education transitioned the UHCP School of
Anesthesia for Nurses into the current graduate program housed at the School of
Nursing. Mary always valued the contributions of the clinical faculty as
the backbone of nurse anesthesia education and this award recognizes their commitment
and dedication to our students.

The recipient of this award is selected annually by the
graduating students from the over 100 physician clinical instructors throughout
our clinical sites. This award was established to honor the contributions
of Dr. Stephen Finestone to the education of Nurse Anesthetists and recognize
the support of our physician faculty to clinical education. Dr.
Finestone was the Medical Director of the UHCP School of Nurse Anesthesia from
it's early beginnings throughout the transition to the current
program.
