recommended, because you won't have a lot of time to search for needed
information. In general, memorization of lengthy formulas is not
necessary for this course; you should know where to find them for
quizzes, and have them on your prepared notes for exams.
- Midterm 1, Wed.Feb.14 covers Chs. 1-7 (omit 7.6)
- One 2-sided sheet of notes permitted.
- Midterm 2, Wed.Apr.4, covers Chs. 8-13
(omit 8.8, 12.6, 13.8)
- Two 2-sided sheet of notes permitted.
- Final, cumulative on all covered material
(omit 15.3, 16.3, 16.4)
- Time/Place: Thursday, April 26, 10:00-11:50, CL 324
- Two 2-sided sheets of notes are permitted.
- Recitations
are either Thursday or Friday, depending on your section.
Note: March 14 is the last day for monitored withdrawal.
If you are failing, seriously consider withdrawing
by this date to avoid getting an ``F''. The University prohibits
assigning a ``G'' grade to a student who is failing.
*All Thursday recitations on the following dates:
Jan. 11; Feb. 15; Apr. 5; Apr. 19
will be held in the Stat Lab 435 CL
(enter on Bigelow side of Cathedral, take steps up to 4th floor)
and the Friday recitations Jan. 12, Feb. 16, Apr .20 are in
