We are working with local high school students and teachers to expand the current high school biology curriculum to include the 3 DOMAIN classification of organims in place of the out dated 5 kingdoms of life.
Current PA High School Standards only require the teaching of the 5 Kingdoms of life in biology. This classification system has been outdated since at least 1990 (1). We are developing outreach materials to ease the transition towards the 3 DOMAINS. Download our student and teacher handout for intial information.
