Born in Hong Kong, I moved to America when I was very young. I lived in Glastonbury, CT for most of my life. I have an older brother and a younger sister. Going through school, I concluded that I would major in some sort of math or science related field. My mom wanted me to be a dentist since I had so many cavities as a kid. At the end of high school, when I decided on what major to pick, I ended up picking Mechanical Engineering. Back then, I was not into computers and did not particularly like the thought of sitting in front of a computer all day. (which is exactly what I ended up doing this summer) I ended up going to Carnegie Mellon University (since I got rejected by every other school ^_^). After 2 years of Mechanical Engineering I decided I may want to broaden my horizons, and thought I may want to look into Biomedical Engineering. Which explains why I came to the MSRC this summer.

This fall, I will be a junior and am leaning towards picking up a double major in Biomedical Engineering. Even if my parents still want me to become a doctor (I think it is a rule that every Asian family has to have at least one doctor).

I learned a lot this summer. I would like to thank everyone at the MSRC who helped me in my two months here. Special thanks goes out to Dr. Woo and Dr. Gilbertson who let me work here at the MSRC, Danyel for telling me what I should do, and the summer students for making the lab a interesting place to work. It was a great experience, and I had a lot of fun.
