I was born in a small town, called Johnsonburg, which coincidentally, no one has ever heard of or visited, but for future reference, it is located in the middle of the Allegheny National Forest. At that point in my life when it came to choosing a college, after having spent what seemed like an eternity in the country, the city of Pittsburgh was a welcome and much needed change. When I find time away from work and school, I enjoy playing tennis and reading.
I hope to graduate in the year 2002 with a B.S. in both bioengineering and chemical engineering. Ideally, I would like to study abroad in Australia at some point before I graduate--and maybe even skip a Pittsburgh winter! After graduating, plans have still not been confirmed as to what I would like to do other than continuing my education, but ever since I was 4, when I got my Fischer Price doctor's kit, I have wanted to be a doctor. So, hopefully, I will get accepted into an M.D./PhD. program. I would like to eventually specialize in pathology and work as a medical examiner.
This summer, I was able to expand on the knowledge gained last year (Like how to beat Snood like a champ.). In all seriousness, I had an enriching research experience this summer at the MSRC and would like to thank Dr. Wang, Dr. Woo, and Dr. Gilbertson for providing me with this opportunity.
