I am a Ph.D. candidate at the University of Pittsburgh in the Economics Department. Broadly, my fields of research include Public Economics and Labor Economics with a focus on experimental methods. My research interests include competitive fundraising mechanisms for public goods, the interaction between private firms and non-profit organizations in fundraising campaigns, and evaluation of the incidence and efficiency of policy. My current work explores theoretically and experimentally the incentives for businesses to contribute to fundraising campaigns in an attempt to determine how non-profit organizations should optimally solicit contributions. Other work examines empirically the impacts of two prominent policies: the Federal Healthy Marriage Initiative and Promise Scholarship programs.
