I am a Ph.D. candidate at the University of Pittsburgh in the Economics Department. Broadly, my fields of research include Public Economics and Labor Economics with a focus on experimental and other empirical methods. My research interests include program evaluation, evaluation of the incidence and efficiency of policy, competitive fundraising mechanisms for public goods, and the interaction between private firms and non- profit organizations in fundraising campaigns. My current work examines the impact of place-based Promise Scholarship programs on housing prices in an attempt to determine who values such scholarships and how to maximize their impact. My previous work has included the evaluation another prominent policy– the Federal Healthy Marriage Initiative– as well as an investigation into business contributions to non-profit fundraising campaigns in an attempt to determine how non-profit organizations should optimally solicit such contributions.
