Mercy Family Medicine Admissions (effective May, 2004)

bulletHolt, Wahrenberger, et al (large North Shore FP group):

1. no longer covered by FP residents

2. handled as for any other nonteaching admission

bulletFamily Practice group: (JohnJulio, Lobl, et al):

1. Dr. Wang (pronounced "wong"), Dr. Shipkovitz's partner, has joined this FP Group

2. All of Dr. Shipkovitz's patients will be admitted to this group; however, call Dr. Shipkovitz, at any time of day, after evaluation of his patients to discuss admission or discharge plans. 3. Call the FP attending with admissions first. Notify Dr. Johnjullio if there are any difficulties with the answering service.

3. During day and evening, the FP residents will see, write orders, and write admit note. ED attending/resident may be asked to call FP resident by FP attending to give report.

4. Because of RRC requirements, Nights(11-7): FP resident will not come in, but will see in AM. Handle as standard non-teaching admit (i.e., write Transition Orders) after discussion with FP attending.
